Just wondering if Jhonny Pereda is a sign that the Cubs are seriously considering trading Willson Contreras and using Pereda as backup to Caratini. I know Willson will probably bring a boat load in return, but I would miss the fire he brings to the team.
It would be a sad day to see. I think it's one of those things that they will just watch the market for Contreras and see if anyone blows them away with a trade offer.
If not, he will surely not get dealt for minimal pieces.
